Welcome to Good Life Coffee Roastery

nice to meet you

We are Cody & Jenna, from the little village of Paxton, Nebraska.

Cody has been passionate about good coffee for years. He started roasting when he was 16 on a very tiny roaster in his mom's kitchen. Everything was great, except for two important things. He could only roast half a pound at a time, & it was very hard to get a consistent roast. Well, guess what? Inconsistent roasts and the time consuming nature of his hobby did not make him want to quit. It did quite the opposite. His coffee obsession grew rapidly.

He married me, Jenna, a couple years ago. Every vacation we take now includes finding the best coffee shops. We've spent many quality hours drinking amazing coffee all across the US. We bought a bigger, nicer roaster, and Cody spends many happy hours roasting for our families & friends. The coffee is pretty terrific, if we can say so ourselves. We hope you love it, too. sending love from Nebraska, where it truly is The Good Life. Cody & Jenna

Fluid Bed Roasting

We roast using a fluid bed roaster. This method of roasting is using a stream of hot air to evenly and delicately roast coffee. Because the beans are constantly suspended on a bed of hot air, they don’t rest on any hot metal during the roast that could burn or scorch them. Fluid bed roasting is also a very clean way to roast. The chaff from the beans gets blown out of the roasting chamber and doesn’t have a chance to burn and give the coffee a smoky flavor. If you prefer a bright and clean cup, then coffee from our fluid bed roaster is for you.
